Problem
A single generalist agent with every tool looks impressive and is hard to trust. A company needs an orchestrator that can route work safely, plus specialists that stay narrow — without collapsing the orchestrator into “the finance bot.”
What I Built
Cato is the company-level orchestrator: creates objectives, coordinates work, claims tasks, invokes capabilities, and escalates. The installable expression is an auditable AI agent daemon with budgets, vault, and operator surfaces.
Genesis is the specialist workforce: a gateway of domain agents invoked for narrow jobs. Genesis must not own durable company state or replace Cato. Finance is where the pattern was pressure-tested first — not the outer limit of either system.
How It Works
Cato classifies and routes work under policy. Genesis specialists execute scoped jobs. Results return through verification and human gates for consequential actions. CompanyOS Control Plane remains the durable authority; Cato coordinates rather than becoming a second system of record.
Why It Matters
Orchestrator + specialists makes policy enforceable. Collapsing Cato into invoice automation misstates both the product and the risk model.
Technical Depth
Cato daemon: budget caps, encrypted vault, operator UI, messaging hooks, Conduit browser tooling, model routing. Genesis: FastAPI gateway of specialized agents across builder, research, deploy, QA, marketing, finance (guarded), and other domains.

Status
